Microsoft releases security patches to address critical remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2019-0708) that exists in Remote Desktop Services formerly known as Terminal Services when an unauthenticated attacker connects to the target system using RDP and sends specially crafted requests. Given the potential impact, Microsoft decided to make security updates available for platforms that are no longer in mainstream support.
