WhiteHat security released its 2014 stats that measures the security of programming languages. Choosing the programming language is one of the most foundational decision developers make. The report is conducted against 30,000 customer websites using a proprietary scanner. Even though there are no significant differences between languages such as Java, PHP, .NET etc. report contains interesting vulnerability findings that occur in most of the languages. Not suprisingly, many of the vulnerabilities have the human factor.
