Group of researchers, which has discovered just last week serious vulnerability in WhatsApp examined another popular application - Viber. Lack of security best practises is threatening the privacy of end-users. Viber is not encrypting any data while exchanging it with Amazon server. Attacker can exploit it with using Man-in-the-Middle attack.
